Graduate of France’s École Supérieure des Arts Graphiques (ESAG),
Solange Lhermitte has worked as graphic designer and illustrator
for clients in publishing, press and advertising.
After successful collaborations with leading companies such as
Gallimard, Elle, Dragon Rouge, Crédit Agricole, Crédit Lyonnais,
Usinor-Sacilor, La Redoute, Guigoz, Heudebert …,
Solange’s interests took her into product and accessory design.
She has designed various products (tee-shirts, luggage, educational toys…)
for different manufacturers under license from LE PETIT PRINCE
and she produces her own line called «TABLEAUX DE JEUX».

As Head of Design for a leading publisher,
she has played a key role in the design and manufacture of many products
based on characters in children’s books: stationery, tableware, luggage, toys and games …
For 7 years, she successfully led an in-house and freelance team,
which developed many products under license from
Le Petit Prince, Elmer the Elephant, Maisy the mouse, Babar, Peter Rabbit, and the Flower Fairies,
as well as non-licensed products commissioned from selected illustrators of proven talent.

Since 2007, Solange Lhermitte has set up her own practice «SL DESIGN»
which allows her to give businesses of all kinds the benefit
of her two-fold expertise (creative design and commissioning of production)
and her proven competence.
